Cardiovascular Sonography Program Director

About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Cardiovascular Sonography Program Director to lead and grow our CVS program. In this role, you'll use your clinical knowledge and leadership skills to guide students, support faculty, and make sure our program stays top-notch and compliant with all accrediting and regulatory standards. You'll be responsible for keeping our curriculum current, supporting instructors, overseeing the program’s operations, and helping students succeed—from their first class to their first job.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the Cardiovascular Sonography program

  • Work closely with faculty to ensure courses are up to date and meet accreditation standards

  • Support and supervise instructors, including reviewing lesson plans and providing guidance

  • Help choose new instructional staff and take part in hiring decisions

  • Keep an eye on program outcomes like completion rates and job placements

  • Stay in touch with students—help with advising, orientation, and even admissions interviews when needed

  • Organize and run program advisory board meetings

  • Review feedback from students, graduates, and employers to keep improving the program

  • Help plan annual start dates and support with scheduling

  • Make sure we’re meeting state, federal, and accrediting body regulations

  • Pitch in with new program development and campus events

  • Assist the Director of Education and registrar as needed

  • Handle other tasks that come up in a fast-paced academic setting

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of experience in cardiovascular sonography, ideally with some management experience

  • Current registry, license, or certification in at least one cardiovascular specialty (as required by accrediting bodies)

  • A professional but approachable demeanor—you’ll be a role model for students and faculty

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to manage time well and meet deadlines

If you're excited about shaping the future of cardiovascular sonography and enjoy mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals, we’d love to hear from you!
